Burnshield Torso/Back Dressing: Large-scale relief for major burns.

The Burnshield Torso/Back Burn Dressing, measuring an extensive 60cm x 40cm, is uniquely designed to offer effective treatment for larger burn injuries on the torso and back. This substantial dressing is particularly suitable for covering and managing burns over broad areas of the body. Each dressing is saturated with sterile hydrogel and is in a foil pouch, ensuring sterility and readiness for immediate application.

The high water content of the hydrogel is instrumental in cooling and soothing larger burn areas, playing a vital role in minimising skin damage by absorbing and dissipating heat efficiently. This characteristic is especially critical for extensive burns where comprehensive treatment is crucial. The dressing transitions from white to clear upon application, facilitating non-intrusive monitoring of the healing process. Its non-adhesive, non-toxic, and non-irritant properties ensure it is safe and comfortable for use by individuals of all ages, including children.

Professional-grade burncare supplies from leading brands for paramedics, first responders, first aiders, and healthcare facilities.

  • Age and Health Factors: Children under the age of 10, individuals with chronic health conditions (like heart, lung, or liver disease, or diabetes), or those with weakened immune systems (due to conditions like HIV/AIDS or chemotherapy for cancer) should receive medical attention for burns.
  • Inhalation of Smoke or Fumes: If someone has inhaled smoke or fumes, especially showing symptoms like coughing, a sore throat, difficulty breathing, singed nasal hair, or facial burns, they should go to the hospital.
  • Delayed Symptoms: Be aware of delayed symptoms post-burn and seek medical attention if they arise.
  • Intentional Injury: If the injury was intentional or if there is suspicion of intentional harm to someone else, it's imperative to visit A&E.
