Jelonet dressings are non-medicated tulle gras dressings, making them an ideal choice for longer-term burn wound care, providing protection and coverage. The non-medicated open-weave gauze is lightweight and impregnated with paraffin, making it perfect for treating wounds healing through secondary intention like thermal burns, abrasions, ulcers, lacerations, and even donor or recipient sites of skin grafts.

Do you need a primary or secondary phase burn dressing?
Choosing the right dressing for burn treatment is crucial for optimal healing. In the primary phase, Burnshield dressings are ideal as they contain hydrogel to cool and soothe burns, keep the wound moist, and prevent infection. For the secondary phase, Jelonet dressings, soaked in paraffin, provide a moist environment, promote healing, and prevent sticking to the wound bed.
This phase occurs immediately after the burn and lasts for several hours. The main goals are to:

- Manage exudate (fluid from the wound)
- Prevent infection
