In a bid to minimise waste, 94% of the first aid contents of this kit are free from plastic wrapping. Instead, items like the sterile wound dressings are supplied in medical-grade paper, dramatically reducing plastic waste.
Innovate, new eco-friendly box made from compressed wood and recycled plastic composite
This recycled first aid container is crafted out of plastic recovered through the processing of supermarket shopping bags blended with wood shavings and sawdust. This composite is then pressed under huge pressure into a mould that forms the new recycled first aid box. No virgin plastics are needed.

What’s the difference between the terms biodegradable and compostable?
The main difference between the terms ‘biodegradable’ and ‘compostable’ is that biodegradable materials take an undetermined amount of time to break down, whereas compostable materials will decompose within a specific timeframe in the right conditions.
Technically, all compostable materials are biodegradable, but not all biodegradable materials are compostable. To break down completely, compostable materials require specific conditions, whereas biodegradable products degrade naturally in a broader range of conditions, though often over a longer timeframe.
