How to Use the Blizzard 2 Layer Active Range Survival Jacket
Opening the Pack:
- Access the Product: Tear at the red pre-cut slit at the base of the package to open.
- Unroll and Stretch: Gently unroll the product to its full length and stretch it sideways. Ensure all cells are fully extended, both around and along the entire length of the jacket.
- Arm Hole Caution: Pay extra attention to the ends of the armholes, as they are more delicate.
- Initial Inflation: After stretching, the material may initially appear flat. Give it a few minutes for the cells to fill with air.
In Use:
- Maintain Cell Structure: Reflexcell™ functions optimally when all cells are full of air. To achieve this, tug the material lengthwise until it gains a corrugated appearance.
- Regular Adjustment: If the cells flatten during use, re-form them by tugging. Avoid stretching the garment too tightly sideways to prevent flattening the cells.
After Use:
- Re-form and Roll: To repack, tug the garment lengthwise to re-form the pleats. Roll it up tightly, starting from the head end. Secure with a strap or Blizzard Pouch.
- Drying: Once home, unpack, turn inside out, and leave in a warm place for several days to dry thoroughly before repacking.
- Vacuum Packing at Home: To return the Blizzard Survival Bag close to its original packed size, use a vacuum cleaner. Neatly tug the bag lengthwise, cover the end of your vacuum cleaner hose with a tea towel, insert it into the top of the bag, and remove the air. Carefully roll or fold from the foot end for optimal compactness. This process is easier with two people.
