How to Use the Blizzard 3 Layer Survival Bag
Opening the Pack:
- Start by tearing the pack open at the red pre-cut slit located at its base.
- Unroll the survival bag to its full length. Stretch it out sideways to ensure that all cells within the material are fully extended, both around and along its entire length.
- Initially, the material may appear flat, but give it a few minutes. The cells will gradually fill with air.
In Use:
- Reflexcell™ material is most effective when all cells are inflated, and none are squashed. To achieve this, gently tug the material lengthwise until it takes on a corrugated appearance.
- If the cells flatten during use, re-inflate them by tugging again. Avoid stretching the bag too tightly in any direction, as this can flatten the cells.
After Use:
- Re-form the pleats by tugging the material lengthwise, then roll it up tightly, starting from the foot end. This helps in expelling air. Secure it with a strap, string, or a Blizzard Pouch if available.
- Once home, unpack and turn the product inside out. Leave it in a warm place for a few days to dry thoroughly before repacking.
- To repack it to nearly its original size, use a vacuum cleaner. Neatly pleat the bag lengthwise, cover the vacuum hose with a tea towel, and insert it into the top of the bag. Hold the bag around the hose and switch on the vacuum. As the air is removed, roll or fold the bag from the foot end. This is easier with two people.
