Zinc oxide tape can sometimes be painful to remove because it is so highly adhesive and rigid. When removing, make sure to do so slowly and in the direction of hair growth, if you can. Alternatively, use zinc oxide tape over the top of a pre-taping wrap like Steroban-U Underwrap Tape as a buffer to make removal easier.
