The Ambu Perfit ACE is notable for its effective design. It is pre-shaped to fit the chin, enhancing comfort and making it easier for intubation and removal of vomit. Uniquely, it is CT and MRI compatible and features a ventilated posterior shell for fluid drainage. This collar is designed for single use, ensuring hygiene and patient safety.
When combined with the Mini Perfit ACE – suitable for children and small adults – these two collars collectively offer an impressive 28 sizes. This range of sizes guarantees that all patients receive the most effective and accurate fit possible.

The Ambu® Mini Perfit ACE collar is a medical device designed to immobilise the cervical spine. It helps healthcare professionals maintain neutral alignment and limit movement in all directions—side-to-side, forward-backward, and rotational. This control is essential during patient movement or transport, especially in cases involving potential neck or spinal injuries.
There are specific situations where this collar should not be used. It is not recommended for trauma patients with penetrating injuries or for individuals with ankylosing spondylitis, due to the increased risk of harm in these cases.
The collar must only be applied by licensed healthcare practitioners under medical direction. Incorrect use can result in permanent injury. It is also intended for single-patient use only, to prevent contamination and infection. Prolonged use beyond 24 hours is not advised, as it may cause pressure ulcers.
Important: This procedure requires two people – one to maintain head and neck stabilisation, the other to fit the collar.
Keep the head and neck aligned throughout. Do not release the head after applying the collar – provide full immobilisation before moving the patient.
