How to use the Celox Vented Foxseal Chest Seal

1. Clean the area around the wound, removing any dirt or fluid.
2. Grip the tab and peel back the clear liner to expose the adhesive side of the seal.
3. Place the dressing adhesive-side down, ensuring it is centred over the wound.
4. Firmly press the dressing around the edges to create a secure seal.
5. Continuously monitor the casualty and observe the chest seal's function.
6. Use the re-seal tab to vent and reapply if needed.
7. For multiple chest wounds, apply an additional dressing to each wound.

Warnings

• Regularly assess for signs of tension pneumothorax; vent or use needle decompression as per training if symptoms appear.
• Do not insert a decompression needle through the dressing.
• Avoid use over protruding objects or in areas where weight, straps, or blankets may occlude the dressing.
