How To Use Fabric Strapping Tape
- Cut the fabric strapping to the desired length you need.
- Stick the fabric strapping tape directly onto clean, dry, non-greasy skin.
- Wrap the strapping around the affected area, overlapping each later by half-width of the tape.
- Make the final turn without tension and ensure it covers the previous turn completely.
- The fabric strapping tape should be secure but not too tight around the body. Over-tightness may cause swelling or affect circulation so ask the patient how it feels and adjust accordingly.
- If the fabric strapping becomes too tight (after exercise, for example), or if swelling recurs, remove the tape immediately and seek medical attention.
