Calpol Two Months Plus Paracetamol Oral Suspension Sachets are for babies and children aged 2 months to 6 years. They are suitable for parents and carers looking for a pre-measured paracetamol option to help relieve pain and fever, including post-immunisation fever, teething, headache, toothache, sore throat, earache, cold and flu symptoms, and other minor aches and pains. For babies aged 2 to 3 months, this product is only suitable if they weigh over 4kg and were born after 37 weeks. Not suitable for babies under 2 months.

How to Use Calpol Oral Suspension

For oral use only. Gently massage the sachet before opening. Use the dosing spoon supplied with the pack and do not overfill it. Each sachet contains 5ml of suspension. If your child only needs 2.5ml, give half the sachet and discard the remainder after use.

Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not give more than the stated dose. Do not give this medicine for more than 3 days without speaking to a doctor or pharmacist. Do not give it at the same time as any other medicine containing paracetamol.

Dosage guide

• 2–3 months (post-immunisation fever): Give 2.5ml. If needed, give another 2.5ml after 4–6 hours. Do not give more than 4 doses in 24 hours. If your baby still needs this medicine 2 days after vaccination, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
• 2–3 months (other causes of pain or fever): Give 2.5ml if your baby weighs over 4kg and was born after 37 weeks. If needed, give a second 2.5ml after 4–6 hours. Do not give more than 2 doses. If further doses are needed, speak to a doctor or pharmacist.
• 3–6 months: 2.5ml, up to 4 times in 24 hours
• 6–24 months: 5ml, up to 4 times in 24 hours
• 2–4 years: 7.5ml (one 5ml spoonful and one 2.5ml spoonful), up to 4 times in 24 hours
• 4–6 years: 10ml (two 5ml spoonfuls), up to 4 times in 24 hours
