The ZOLL AED Plus CPR-D Padz represents a significant advancement in emergency medical care technology. Designed as a one-piece adult electrode, it simplifies the process of fast and precise electrode placement during critical moments. Unique in its capabilities, the CPR-D Padz not only facilitates electrode positioning but also actively monitors and relays critical data about the depth and rate of chest compressions back to the ZOLL AED Plus® Semi Automatic Defibrillator unit.
This feedback mechanism ensures that rescuers can adjust their techniques in real time, enhancing the effectiveness of CPR. These electrodes are also notable for their remarkable and cost-effective five-year shelf life, setting a new standard in longevity for disposable defibrillator electrodes, making them a worthwhile investment for safety-conscious organisations.

The ZOLL AED Plus CPR-D Padz is specifically engineered to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of resuscitation efforts during cardiac emergencies. As a one-piece, pre-connected electrode, they enable swift deployment, reducing critical time delays when seconds matter most. These electrodes are integral to providing real-time CPR feedback, allowing the ZOLL Plus Lay Responder defibrillator to instantaneously record and analyse CPR data.
This functionality is complemented by audible prompts from the AED, which guide rescuers to achieve the correct rate and depth of chest compressions. Additionally, their innovative 'Z' shaped design enhances the ease of placement on the patient, further streamlining the process of emergency medical response.
The ZOLL AED Plus CPR-D Padz comes equipped with rescue essentials to facilitate effective and hygienic resuscitation in an emergency. Each pack includes:
Item | Quantity | Use |
CPR-D Padz | 1 | A one-piece, pre-connected electrode designed for rapid deployment and real-time CPR feedback. |
Barrier Mask | 1 | Provides protection for rescuers, reducing the risk of cross-contamination during CPR. |
Razor | 1 | Ensures the area where the pads are applied is clear of excessive hair for optimal pad contact. |
Scissors | 1 | Allows for quick cutting of clothing to ensure the chest is accessible and pads can be placed correctly. |
Disposable Gloves | 1 Pair | For personal protection, ensuring that all interactions with the patient are hygienic. |
Towelette | 1 | For cleaning the area around the pad placement, ensuring good adhesion and conductivity. |
The ZOLL AED Plus CPR-D Padz are designed with longevity in mind, offering a five-year shelf life—much longer than most AED pads on the market. This extended lifespan is due to a specialised design that controls corrosion, ensuring the electrodes remain functional for longer periods. After the five years the pads should be replaced.
AEDs, especially those in low-usage environments like workplaces, public spaces, or community centres, may go years without being deployed. However, electrode pads naturally degrade over time. If not replaced before their expiration date, there is a risk the AED will fail during an emergency due to corroded or expired pads. The five-year shelf life of the ZOLL CPR-D Padz ensures that replacement is needed less frequently, reducing costs and simplifying maintenance.
By replacing the pads regularly and ensuring they’re not expired, you ensure your ZOLL AED Plus is always ready for immediate use, which can make a critical difference during a cardiac emergency.
If you own a ZOLL AED, maintaining fresh CPR Padz is essential for ensuring the device is always ready in an emergency. These easy-to-use replacement pads are designed specifically for the ZOLL AED Plus and other models, ensuring continued compliance and reliability.
In the event of a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), the critical first steps include immediate CPR and the swift application of an automated external defibrillator (AED). To ensure a rapid response, it is crucial to have the CPR-D Padz, along with the ZOLL Plus Semi Automatic Defibrillator, readily accessible at various high-traffic and strategic locations:

The AED will provide visual and auditory prompts to guide you through the rescue process. A red light will indicate the current step you should be on. To effectively use the ZOLL AED Plus in an emergency, follow these steps carefully:
As soon as you reach the casualty, open the lid of the ZOLL AED Plus and switch it on.
Check if the patient is responsive.
Call for emergency help.
Open the patient's airway.
Check for breathing.
Attach the pads to the patient's bare chest. Follow the diagrams on the pads to place them in the correct place. If the patient is a child (under 8 years old), you will need to use Pedi-Padz.
Stand clear while the device analyses the heart.
If shock is advised, press flashing Shock button.
If no shock is advised or after shock delivery, begin CPR when prompted. Follow the Real CPR Help prompts for proper compression quality during CPR. Keep following the AED's instructions until professional medical help arrives. The device will continue to guide you through the necessary steps.
