Pair of ZOLL Powerheart AED G3 pads compatible with the Powerheart® G3 defibrillators. Featuring strong adhesive, these defibrillator electrodes are non-polarised to simplify pad placement and can be pre-connected to the AED to save precious seconds.
The ZOLL Powerheart G3 Adult Defibrillation Pads are an essential component in providing timely, efficient aid during cardiac emergencies. Developed by Cardiac Science, these defibrillation pads incorporate Intellisense® technology, ensuring they are always Rescue Ready® and capable of delivering consistent, reliable performance. Designed for versatility and ease of use, the pads can be positioned on either side of the chest, helping to eliminate confusion and expedite the rescue process for users of any skill level, from first responders to those without previous first aid training.
These pads are pre-connected to the AED, which greatly reduces setup time and allows immediate access to necessary equipment during an emergency. This readiness is vital in situations where every second counts. Moreover, the pads' packaging includes clear, detailed graphics to assist in correct placement, further streamlining the rescue operation.

The ZOLL Powerheart G3 Adult Defibrillation Pads are designed for use in critical cardiac emergency situations. They are specifically crafted to function seamlessly with all models in the Powerheart G3 series of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). These pads are essential for responding to instances where an adult requires defibrillation due to sudden cardiac arrest—a condition in which the heart unexpectedly stops beating effectively.
By delivering controlled electric shocks through these pads, the AED helps to restore a normal heart rhythm, thereby providing a crucial intervention that can save lives in emergency situations.
The ZOLL Powerheart G3 Adult Defibrillation Pads are designed for adult use and have a shelf life of 2 years. This 2 year lifespan ensures that the electrodes remain effective for use. The pads are specifically engineered to maintain their integrity and functionality during this period. After 2 years, the G3 Adult Pads should be replaced.
AEDs, especially those in low-usage environments like workplaces, public spaces, or community centres, may go years without being deployed. However, electrode pads naturally degrade over time. If not replaced before their expiration date, there is a risk the AED will fail during an emergency due to corroded or expired pads. The 2 year shelf life of the ZOLL G3 Adult Pads ensures that replacement is needed less frequently, reducing costs and simplifying maintenance.
By replacing the pads regularly and ensuring they’re not expired, you ensure your ZOLL Powerheart G3 is always ready for immediate use, which can make a critical difference during a cardiac emergency.

Step 1: Turn on the Powerheart AED.
Step 2: Check if the patient is responsive by gently shaking their shoulders and asking loudly, "Are you okay?"
Step 3: Immediately call for emergency medical services or direct someone else to make the call.
Step 4: Open the patient’s airway by tilting the head back and lifting the chin.
Step 5: Look, listen, and feel for normal breathing for no more than 10 seconds.
Step 6: Ensure the electrodes are connected to the AED. Attach the defibrillation pads to the patient’s bare chest as shown on the packaging. One pad should be placed to the right of the sternum, just below the clavicle. Place the other pad on the left side of the chest below the pectoral muscle.
Step 7: Stand clear of the patient while the AED analyses the heart rhythm. Ensure no one is touching the patient during this analysis.
Step 8: If the AED advises a shock, ensure everyone is clear of the patient and press the button when prompted or allow the AED to automatically deliver the shock.
Step 9: After a shock has been delivered, or if no shock is advised, begin CPR immediately when prompted by the AED.
Continue to follow the AED prompts until emergency services arrive and take over, or the patient shows obvious signs of recovery such as normal breathing.
