What does the iPAD SP1 Defibrillator come with?

ItemQuantityUse
Pair of Electrode Pads (Dual Adult/Child)1

Used to deliver an electric shock to the patient's heart to restore a normal rhythm. They are adhesive pads placed on the patient's chest during a cardiac emergency.

Battery1

Provides the power source for the defibrillator. Ensures the AED is operational when needed and can deliver the necessary shock to the patient.

AED Starter Kit1

Typically includes essential items needed for emergency response, such as gloves, a razor (for removing chest hair), a CPR mask, and antiseptic wipes.

Carry Case1

Used to store and transport the AED and its associated components. Helps protect the device and ensures all necessary items are readily available during an emergency.

The iPAD SP1 fully automatic acts as a fully functioning assistant when there’s a casualty in cardiac arrest, supporting you every step of the way, including

  1. Detecting the volume in the room and adjusting its volume so you can hear its instructions.
  2. Providing calm, clear step-by-step prompts on what you should do.
  3. Informing you if the pads are put in the wrong place on the casualty’s body.
  4. Allowing you to switch quickly between adult and child mode if needed.
  5. Reading the heart rhythm and announcing if a shock should be delivered or if you should continue CPR.
  6. Automatically delivering a shock if needed.
  7. Saving a detailed record of information to hand over to paramedics when they arrive on the scene.

Compact and ergonomic, the iPAD SP1 AED is easy to store and transport. Keep one on your business premises, in your vehicle, or carry it with you to always have a life-saving AED nearby when minutes and even seconds count.

How to Use a Defibrillator

In this informative video, a paramedic guides you through the critical steps of using an automatic defibrillator, providing essential tips and demonstrations for effective emergency response.

What is the difference between the semi-automatic and fully automatic models?

Both the fully and semi-automatic iPAD SP1 AEDs are identical in their use and features apart from one key element. The fully automatic AED will automatically deliver a shock when the relevant irregular heartbeat is detected once the pads are correctly placed. The semi-automatic AED will prompt the user to press a button which delivers a shock.

Fully automatic AEDs remove the extra step of activating the shock. In an emergency, when an untrained person must use an AED to save a life, this more automated process can help encourage confidence and proactiveness to use the device. A fully automatic AED can also eliminate the room for error in hesitation or potentially making a mistake but taking over the situation.

A semi-automatic defibrillator notifies the user that a shock needs to be delivered and waits until the button is pressed to proceed. This means the user can ensure the environment is completely safe to do so by asking others to stand back and double checking the casualty is not lying in any water.
